The Ortakent-Yahsi beach is one of the longest sandy beaches on the Bodrum peninsula. During the peak summer months, this beach becomes packed with beach loungers and families. The facilities of this beach are numerous, with waiters from local restaurants; cafes, tavernas and hotels serving guests that might be relaxing at any of the many beach loungers. Ortakent and Yahsi are separate towns, but both belong to the same municipality. Both towns have an inland and share the beach as if they were one. The beach stretches out to the next bay and follows the peninsula round to the west. Asides from being fully equipped and family-friendly, for those who are on a budget or more adventurous there is a camping space to the beach. The beach here is sandy, shallow at first but beware if you wander further in it can unexpectedly become deep. There are also plenty of hotels and resorts along the beachfront should you be looking for a longer stay at this area. One can easily get to the Ortakent-Yashi beach by taking any of the regular dolmuses from Bodrum.
From this particular beach, you might want to take a trip over to other gems of Turkey such as the city of Bitez, the Seven Islands Kufre and Uzun Liman and Cokertme Bay.
