Just out of Bodrum, if you are looking for someone that was formed out of this world – you might want to check out Meteor Bay. Lying west of Bodrum this bay is formed by a large meteor hole. Sit aboard your boat and try to imagine the size of the meteor and the impact it once had in creating this now beautiful bay. Should you be on a blue cruise, private yacht or taking a side trip from Bodrum there are many travellers that take the opportunity to jump over the rock platform into the deep turquoise water of the meteor hole. Once you have gotten your fill of leaping off the rock platform into the water you can also go exploring the caves. For a small fee, you can walk through the underwater caves near the bay. Unfortunately, there aren’t many facilities at this particular spot. A half-day or spending a day here is enough to relax before heading to your next destination.
Other gorgeous bays to visit while your stay in Turkey, do consider visiting one of the oldest holiday destinations - Aktur Bay, Poyraz Bay just behind the Black Islands and Cokertme Bay just off the Gulf of Gokova.
