Bozburun

Bozburun is a small seaside fishing village not too far from Bodrum that was once infamous for sponge diving several years ago. Nowadays it has been deemed too dangerous so the most popular activity to do instead are taking any of the local gullet cruises from the town to the surrounding peninsula.  The area here is perfect to unwind from a bustling day and swim between the areas where the Aegean waters meet the Mediterranean ones. There is no shortage of azure coves, hidden islands and thick pine forests as you explore the area. This village is also known to be a very tranquil and peaceful area surrounded by nature. In spite of the developing tourism the area attracts plenty of escapists or any one that is looking for to experience a simpler lifestyle or just to sail in the secluded waters. Be it Turkish hippies, ex-journalists or high profile executives turned bartenders. There is also an array of accommodation options close to the village centre while the most pricey mores are further away.

From Bozburun, you can easily reach the town of Selimiye, as well as visit the ancient city of Cnidus and the Karacasogut Village.
