This cruise operated with Standard/Classic Gulets. All our yachts have yacht insurance. We advise all travelers to take out their own individual travel insurance. For this route, we (Alaturka) may use different operator/gulets than our own.
WARNING ABOUT AC USAGE & OVERNIGHT HARBOUR STAYS
The A/C can be used up to 8 hours maximum. Using A/C in the harbors are strictly forbidden, and there are 4 - 6 nights harbour docking on Greek Island cruises. Please be aware that all the harbours can be quiet noisy.
INCLUSIONS & EXCLUSIONS
- Port and marina fees, taxes and fuel are all included in your cabin charter package price.
- Passengers have the use of all standard yachting equipment on board. This includes snorkels and masks and board games.
- Bath / Beach towels may not be provided on this cabin charter. You must bring along. The towels on board cannot be used for swimming and sunbaking.
- Entrance fees and optional activities are not included in the cabin charter package price.
MEALS & DRINKS
Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and snacks are included in the cabin charter. Drinks are not provided in your cabin charter package. On this cabin charter, please do not bring any drinks onboard. All drinks including water are sold onboard prices. A bar tab is set up for the duration of the week. All bar tabs are paid on the conclusion of your cruise.
Dietary requirements are not accepted/prepared on this route, guests who have dietary needs must bring own additional food onboard.
Allocation of cabins is done on site. All cabins on these cruises are for two people in usually a double cabin layout. Single travelers cannot share cabins with other individuals on the cruise. They must reserve a single supplement cabin. For single supplement prices please email us. All cabins have private bathrooms with toilet and shower.
- Your cabin charter is a non-guided tour. There is no local guide on board providing information on the sites and locations.
- Children under 12 years old are not allowed on this cabin charter. 12+ years old are at full cabin charter price.
- For cruises visiting the Greek Islands, all participants must be in possession of a valid passport and should obtain a Schengen visa if required. Some visas can be acquired on arrival into the country. It is the passenger’s responsibility to obtain any visas, passports, health certificates or other travel documentation required.
All efforts will be made to follow this itinerary, however, in cases of poor weather and/or sea conditions, this schedule may change. This could include altered daily plans and overnight stops. In these situations all efforts will be made to consult customers on alternative options, no money will be refunded.
We board our gulet at 15:30 from Bodrum Harbour, meeting our crew and fellow passengers for the next week. On the first day, our boat will remain anchored in Bodrum Port for dinner and an overnight stay. Tonight you can venture into the city centre to experience the vibrant night life, visit the historical sites or relax on the gulet and witness Turkey’s magical sunset. (D)
Bodrum to Kos
This morning after a quick brief from the crew it's time to get out of the harbour and we cruise on bound for Kos. Kos is the second largest island of the Dodecanese Islands and is well known to be the birthplace of the father of medicine, Hippocrates. You may take a quick swim in Lambi Beach which is very close to Kos Harbour or visit the Asclepion and Zia village with an optional tour or by yourself. The Asclepion is a large healing temple from ancient times. Kos is also one of the islands with the best night life. Nafklirou, a street full of bars, is always crowded, colourful, and full of life. Gayali Bay and Nysiros
Early in the morning we will cruise to Nisyros Island and will have a swimming break in a beautiful bay at Gyali Island along the way. Nysiros is an Island with an active volcano and has been that way since 1422, inspiring the Greeks to beleive there were angry gods underneath the earth. You can take an optional bus tour to the crater, the gases and smoke coming from the ground are a spectacular sight. You will spend the night at Nysiros and have dinner under the stars. (B, L, D)
Today we will head on to the wonderful Island of Symi, and anchor down in the gorgeous bay of Nanou where we will have lunch and swim in the refreshing sea. After Nanou the boat will moor in the port of Symi for the rest of the day, where you can spend some time roaming around the city. You will be amazed by the neo-classical houses and the peripheral districts and architecture that blends in with the surrounding natural vistas. There is so much to see on Symi, we recommend strolling down the cobbled streets and climbing the hundreds of stairs around colourful houses. (B, L, D)
We will cruise to Rhodes early in the morning to arrive at the historical World heritage site and city of Rodos. We recommned you join our optional Old City tour whilst you are here for some educational background knowledge about this ancient city. After Dinner we recommend you have a night out in town and enjoy the unique culture, food, and architecture. Overnight in Rhodes. (B, L, D)
Datca - Palamutbuku - Knidos
Today we return back into Turkey waters via Datca. Data dates back to the 7th century BC, and the historian Strabon recommended the wonderful climate as there is no humidity and clean crisp air. Longevity was said to be guaranteed after a visit in this natural peninsula. The water surrounding this area is a crystal blue and perfect to get the bathing suit on for a swim.
There will then be a swimming stop at Palamutbuku before we cruise onto Knidos, our last stop for the day. Here you will find the ruins of the ancient Greek city in South West Turkey that was very famous for its science, art and architecture. You will spend the rest of the day and evening here, so you there is plenty of time to go on shore to explore some of the ruins at the Open Air Museum, or just take a swim in the beautiful clear waters. Black Island - Poyraz Harbour - Bodrum
This morning you will get to have a swim in the beautiful bays of Karaada - Black Island. A bay known for its turquoise-blue waters, it’s a must to dip the toes in the water here. Afterwards we will take a swimming break at Poyraz Bay before we cruise back into Bodrum Harbour. Dinner will be served on board and afterwards you have the chance to go into town to enjoy the nightlife that the town offers for your last night on the cruise. Overnight Bodrum Harbor. (B, L, D)
The guests will leave the boat with precious memories of their week long holiday at sea just after breakfast. Disembark by 10:30 am. (B)
